Alan

My 'real' job is a landscape gardener an I have run my own design and construction business for 13 years. I have worked in the fitness industry as an instructor and personal trainer since qualifying in 2002. I had trained for many years before that and decided it was time to turn a passion into some additional income. I started working at Inspirations in 2005 teaching a ladies only circuit class, and became partners along with my wife Abi in September 2007. Since then we have both helped turn Inspirations into what it is today, a stylish health club with excellent facilities and a personal friendly atmosphere. My main roles now are helping coordinate and teach classes and gym floor instruction.

Abi

I joined the Inspirations team as a partner back in September 2007after working in Retail Management for the last ten years, and before that I was travelling around the world as an air Stewardess. I don't actually have any qualifications in the fitness industry (unless you count my brown belt in karate when I was 14!). My talents lie in the more creative field; I have a BA Hons degree in Art & Design History, a passion for painting, and years of experience in Interior Design. I have therefore taken great pleasure in putting my mark firmly on the club over the last ten months and feel that as a result Inspirations is a club everyone can enjoy.

Mark

Hi, I´m Mark Randell the founder owner of the Club. Inspirations began trading in November 1989 under the name of Slique Physique Health Club. Having spent 12 years weight training I decided to turn my hobby into my vocation. I qualified to Senior NABBA Instructor and specialised in nutrition and free weights. In 1991 I qualified for EFBB Mr Britain. I have since obtained an NVQ in Sports Science and take care of the personal training at the Club. I take great pride in helping every member at the Club reach their goals quickly and safely. As we offer eight sessions of personal training with every membership I invite you to give me a new challenge.

Simon

I have been a long-standing member at the Club, back in the days when it was called Slique Physique. Since then I have been living out of the area, but have never found a Club that made me feel so at home. Now I’ve managed to swindle a job here using my 10 years’ experience of sales and marketing, (I’ve sold dust mats to luxury holidays!) I love training, playing tennis and I used to play for Oxford United. I get involved when I can with personal training at the Club and really enjoy taking my weekly spin class.

Lucy

Hi, I’m Lucy! I don’t come from a leisure background at all, but spent the first 18 years or so of my life working with horses and leading a very fit, healthy, outdoors life. Following an injury when I was 18, I was sucked into the realms of office work, where I remained, miserably, for approximately 12 years. In October 2008 I was lucky enough to meet Sharon and the team as I was teaching some of the pole dancing classes at the Club. I was desperate for a lifestyle change, and loved the happy family atmosphere at the Club. I was also becoming more and more obsessed with pole dancing, and was thrilled when I was offered the opportunity to come to Inspirations full time and run the pole dancing. In March 2009, Showgirls Pole Dance @ Inspirations was born. We are now offering 7 classes per week in the Club studio! Coming to Inspirations was the best thing I ever did :)

Sharon

Hi, I´m Sharon Randell, one of the business partners at the Club. I began working at Inspirations in 1995 and with a background in Sales/Marketing the Club soon began to flourish. Some years on, I now look after the administration of the business, leaving the sales to the younger, more enthusiastic members of the team. Whilst on vacation in Malaysia some years ago I developed a passion for beauty and spa treatments. I have spent the last 3 years developing a beauty business at Inspirations with our Senior Therapist, Faye Collett and feel extremely proud of our new Serenity Spa area that offers a fantastic range of treatments using only the finest of products. Our therapists are trained to the highest of standards and take great pride in their work. I believe this makes us stand out from the rest; please let me know what you think?

Faye

After studying at Oxford International College of Beauty qualifying in Beauty Therapy and obtaining OICB / CIDESCO / ITEC / CIBTAC qualifications. I started my career at Academie Beauty Salon, Milton Park. Whilst working there I trained in Guinot and Naturasun Spray Tanning. After Leaving Academie I joined the Inspirations team in March 2006. Being the sole Beauty Therapist here until January 2007, after gaining 2 new members of staff for the beauty team, I was then made Senior Therapist. I obtained certificates in Supernails Backscratchers Nail System and qualified in Advanced Bikini Waxing in 2006 and later completed training in Decleor and Dermalogica.
